Founder Phillip Maurici was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. After attending Florida State University and teaching junior high Industrial Arts, he decided to make plumbing his career. He worked in the plumbing industry for 11 years before founding Phillip Maurici Plumbing, Inc. in 1982.

This realization led Phillip to rededicate his company to excelling in these areas of plumbing services. In 1999, the new company identity became The Clean Plumbers. You’ve probably seen our trucks around Tampa or the surrounding area: the plumbers with bubbles on the trucks! That's us!
In 2023, The Clean Plumbers added a second location in Pinellas County after merging with Besel Plumbing, which had served Pinellas County for over 40 years. The Clean Plumbers now provides the same top-notch service on both sides of the Bay!
